80th Annual Montgomery County Fair Chuckwagon Races Splash the Summer Away Its August in Arkansas and its hot. The very best way to beat the heat, and have a great time while doing it, is to visit one of the water parks. The states original park Willow Springs -- its been around since 1928 is still going strong. Located in southeast Little Rock, it includes a 400-foot waterslide, a large kiddie pool, water volleyball, and other water activities.
Wild River Country in North Little Rock is the state's largest water park with a long list of attractions. Areas with names such as Cyclone, Vertigo, the Sidewinder, River Rapids, the Vortex and Black and White Lighting let you know this is a high energy place. The Lazy River plus the Tad and Wave Pools provide laid-back fun.
In Hot Springs check out Crystal Falls, sister park to Magic Springs Theme Park. Here you'll find the Crystal Cove wave pool, the High Sierra Slide Tower, and the Kodiak Canyon Adventure River, or you can just drift along the Kodiak Canyon Lazy River, wiling away the day. New this year is the Rapid Falls Raceway, 50-feet high, 310-feet long and six lanes of racing fun. These arent all. Click here to find out about others.
