Monday 9/22/2008

Picked up Lake View trash route

Picked up boxes from local merchants…

Dollar General, Jungels, Corner Market

Washed and serviced trucks…

Unit #25, unit#26, unit #29, unit #28, unit #30

Total tonnage and cost delivered to landfill:49.94tn ,$1398.32

Tuesday 9/23/2008

Started weekly trash routes for residents

Repaired arm unit #25(broken finger)

Installed new cylinder on unit #26

Continued to pick up boxes from local merchants

Sanitation Director picked up parts in Memphis for unit #27

(fuel pump and gaskets )

Total tonnage and cost delivered to landfill:32.29tn, $904.12

Wednesday 9/24/2008

Picked up regular trash routes

Mayville and Son finished repairs on unit #27

(installed fuel pump)

Picked up boxes from Hoffingers , Boys & Girls Clubs

Demolition clean up begin on Old Little Road behind Tourist Info Center

Total tonnage and cost delivered to landfill:32.46tn, $908.88

Thursday 9/25/2008

Picked up regular trash routes

Clean up of demolition continued on Old Little Rock Rd

Picked up boxes from local merchants..

West Helena Furniture , Bedroom Warehouse, Perry Street Market

Replaced a hydraulic hose on unit #25

Total tonnage and cost delivered to landfill:40.74tn$1140.72

Friday 9/26/2008

Picked up regular trash routes

Completed demolition clean up on Old Little Rock Rd

Begin demolition on Adkins Street

Continued to pick up boxes from local merchants

Received parts for unit #21 (PTO unit)

Total tonnage and cost delivered to landfill:60.23,$1686.44

Total tonnage and cost delivered to landfill week of 9/22-26th/2008:215.66tn,$6038.48

 

 

Future Weekly Activities:

Working with ADEQ to organize electronic waste pick up programs

Continue trying to improve trash pick up

Working with other departments to assist in any way we can

Follow Up Activities:

Working on budget proposal

Making preparations for the Blues Festival

Staff Concerns:

Two employees are still out on Workers Comp
