  • Working on center greens East & West

  • Completed center greens East & West
  • Ditches – 500, 600 and 700 blocks of Anderson
  • Ditch – Oakland at CHS entrance
  • Cleaned Plaza St

Mechanic:

  • Installed lights on Auto Car dump truck
  • Installed alternator on Police unit
  • Replaced dip stick O-ring on Street unit 103
  • Picked up blue dump truck from Mayville & Sons

  • Repaired arm on Street unit 107
  • Replaced brakes & rotors on Police Crown Victoria
  • Repaired flat on Sanitation unit 29
  • Replaced cylinder on Sanitation unit 28
  • Picked up bob truck from Vern's
  • Repaired signal & brake light on blue dump truck

10/22

·        Repaired hose on Knuckle boom unit 106

·        Oil change Police unit 12

·        Replaced brakes on Police Dodge Charger

·        Oil change on black CID unit

·        Welded levers to unit 33 old Knuckle boom

·        Installed governor on unit 33 old Knuckle boom

  • Replaced tail light on Mayor Valley's Impala
  • Drained oil in unit 13, removed fly wheel, and removed torque converter bolts

 

Potholes:

  • 11th St-S Morris
  • 9th & Cleburne
  • Park & Hwy 49

 

Animal control:

  • Picked up 2 dead animals from vet office

 

Mosquito control:

Mosquito control-No spraying done (units will be removed from vehicles on 10/27)

Mosquito control is coordinated in conjunction with Sanitation route-weather permitting

 

Other activities:

Litter pick up at primary routes of City:

Walnut St.

Hauled 152 tires to Tire Disposal site

Repaired fence on Shop yard behind 238 Bart

Refaced stop signs at: LaSalle & Marquette, Arkansas & Don, Harvey & Knox

Replaced stop sign So Coanza & West Park      

10/20

Removed tires from east side bleachers at CHS

Repaired drains at So & McDonald and So 6th and alley off Plaza

Reinstalled knocked down sign on Center St

Picked up 13 tons of cold mix from Lehman-Roberts, Batesville, MS

 

Future Weekly Activities:

Tree removal at 600 block Cleburne, 1135 Poplar, Cline-Frazier bldg on Cherry St

Removal of dead sycamore tree at 500 block East Baldwin

Drain at South 7th and South 8th

Washout at Beechwood east

Washout at 127 Valley Dr

 

Follow Up Activities:

Debris removal from Little Rock Rd and Elm St park

Debris removal from end of So Coanza

Code Enforcement identifying and notifying property owners of overgrown lots throughout City. City will not mow lots until Code Enforcement has communicated with owners.

 

Staff Concerns/Issues:

Oscar Hoskins & Victor Jordan attended ATSSA sign maintenance training in Dallas, TX 10/19-22
