DEATH NOTICE --- FIRE --- 300 BLOCK OF DESOTO

We have had a death. The person likely died of injuries caused by the conflagration at the home. No foul play is suspected at this time. The person appears to have been upright and asleep on a couch in the Living Room. Our death notice team has been alerted and should en route to provide the appropriate notice to the next of kin.

The coroner is here on-site and at the appropriate time, we will share the name, age, race and gender of this victim.

We thank Officer Charles Flowers who smelled smoke and drove until he found the house which quickly became engulfed. We also thank our law enforcement and firefighting teams for their great efforts.
