Specific Weekly Activities:

 

Mechanic:

1/23

  • Replaced brakes and rotors Police unit 18
  • Replaced fuel filter Street F250
  • Towed in leaf vacuum from Springdale Rd
  • Checked Street F250-running hot, oil leak and transmission leak

1/26

  • Replaced studs Police unit 1
  • Repaired flat tire Street unit 103
  • Changed out PTO switch Street unit 105
  • Officer Petty took Police unit 17 to Clarksdale
  • Changed oil Sanitation unit 29

1/27

  • Cleaned shop
  • Changed oil Assistant Police Chief Durango
  • Moved blue dump truck from south lot to shop lot due to inclement weather
  • Put shop door back on track
  • Fixed tailgate Sanitation unit 26
  • Took Sanitation unit 28 to Twin City Machine Shop

1/28

  • Boosted off blue dump truck
  • Put shop door back on track
  • Boosted all batteries on south end of yard
  • Checked status of old knuckle boom brakes and air
  • Put rear transmission seal Police unit 11
  • Replaced PTO fuse and switch Street unit 106

1/29

  • Changed oil and serviced Police unit 11
  • Cleaned shop
  • Serviced and repaired cylinder red dump truck
  • Removed starter from Street 790 John Deere tractor
  • Checked with mechanic on installation of transmission in Police unit (Ohio Shop)

 

Potholes:

  • 200 block Leifer

 

Animal control:

  • Removed several dead animals from streets
  • Picked up two dead animals from vet

 

Other activities:

Continuous removal of debris throughout city designated trash routes

Continuous removal of leaf bags and debris from designated Sanitation routes

Assisted Sanitation in dumping and picking up trash carts

Removed excess leaves and debris with leaf vacuum Holiday Hills & Red Bud Cove

24 inch pipe delivered to Shop yard for Old Dominion project

Steve Moore (AHTD) checked street lights and loops (Results to be faxed at later date)

Assisted Sanitation in dumping and picking up trash carts

Cut up fallen tree-alley off 200 block Baringo

Put cover on electrical outlets in break area near ice machine

Dug out drainage ditch-College and Walker

Replaced street signs at Phillips and Pecan

Foreman's office being painted and tile laid
