MONDAY 2-9-09
Begin the regular trash route at 4:00am
Ran the Lakeview trash route
Serviced vehicles and equipment
Assisted East Water Department digging sewer repair with track hoe
Picked up boxes from Corner Market, J.F. Wahl and Family Dollar
Begin the ditch widening on Old Dominion
TUESDAY 2-10-09
Begin regular trash route at 4:00am
Mechanic picked up solenoid for unit #27 from Scruggs in Memphis
Continued to pick up boxes from merchants Clover, Staton's, Linda's and Factory Connection
Picked up and delivered cans to residents
WEDNESDAY 2-11-09
Regular trash route begin at 4:00am
Continued to process boxes
Continued to pick up boxes from mer chants Food Pantry, Watson's Flowers, Myrna's and Juengel's
Worked on the lift arm on unit #27
T HURSDAY 2-12-09
Regular trash route begin at 4:00am
Devilivered cans to residents
Repaired park lights on GMC dump truck (blue)
Installed PTO on unit #21 to replace unit #27, for temporary use only
FRIDAY 2-13-09
Begin regular route at 4:00am using unit#21 instead of unit#27, this will continue until further notice
Continued to work on unit #27 tring to repair the arm
Picked up boxes from Beech Crest, Wendy's, Pizza Hut and Sear's
Continued to pick up and deliver cans to residents
Continue to process boxes for the week
MONDAY 2-16-09
Presidents Day closed
TUESDAY 2-`17-09
Begin regular route at 4:00am, we will begin with the Lakeview due to closure the day before
Continued to process boxes collected from local merchants
Pi cked up boxes from merchants, Hoffinger's, Pit Stop, Budweiser and Cato's
Picked up unit #27 from Twin City Machine Shop after the arm had been re-welded
Repaired fuse box on unit #29 and installed fuse clip relays
Continued to pick up and deliver cans to residents
WEDNESDAY2-18-09
Begin regular trash route at 4:00am
Installed solenoid switch on unit#27
Picked up and delivered cans to residents
Continued to process boxes
THURSDAY 2-19-09
Begin trash route at 4:00am
Pi cked up and delivered cans to residents
Picked up boxes from Corner Market, Family Dollar, Kidney Dyialysis and Kwik Stop
Replaced two hardened bolts in the arm of unit #25
Continued to work on unit #27
Continued the clean up on Beech St. for the Noble family
Assisted the Park Director digging the footing for the score board in the North Helena Park baseball field with the use of the mini track
Met with James Wallace of the AHTD and the Street Director to be of assistance on the Old Dominion drainage project
FRIDAY 2-20-09
Begin the regular route at 4:00am
Assisted the Feed the Children Foundation in their delivery of dry goods at Greater First Baptist Church using the fork lift
Assisted the Park Director in a final clean up effort to get ready for the opening of baseball season loaning the help of our part-timers
Continued to pick up and deliver cans to residents
Processed boxes collected for the week
FUTURE WEEKLY ACTIVITIES:
Continuing to improve trash collection
Workin g with other departments
Finding ways to increase our recyling efforts
FOLLOW UP ACTIVITIES:
Listing the properties up for demolition and promptly removing them from the list as they are completed in an effort to get the information to Code Enforcement and the City Attorney

One employee has been lost due to health conditions, this was a result of his Doctor's orders
