Weekly Activities:
Monday 2-2-09
Started trash routes at 4:00am, ran the Lakeview route
Changed oil in unit #29 and serviced the trucks and equipment
Repaired the lights on unit #26
Picked up boxes from local merchants, Sonic, Cato's, and Clover
Tuesday 2-3-09
Begin regular trash route at 4:00am
Assisted Parks Department delivering 30 tons of gravel to the golf course
Continued to pick up boxes from merchants, Wendy's, Beech Crest, and the Food Pantry
Wednesday 2-4-09
Begin regular trash route at 4:00am
Assisted Parks Department with tree trimming using the bucket truck and the back hoe in the North Helena Park
Our mechanic went to West Memphis and picked up the hydralic part for unit #25, installed it and put truck back in service
Picked up boxes from local merchants, Myrna's, Corner Market, Factory Connection and Family Dollar
Thursday 2-5-09
Begin regular route at 4:00am
Continued to assist Parks Department with tree trimming and pruning
Picked up boxes from local merchants Watson's Flowers, Pizza Hut and Juengel's
The joystick for unit #27 was delivered to City Hall and was installed that afternoon
Continued to pick up boxes from local merchants, Hoffinger's, JF Wahl and Central High
Friday 2-6-09
Begin regular route at 4:00am
Trimming and prunning continued in the Park with expectations of finishing the project by the end of the day
Picked up boxes from Sear's, Linda's, Staton's and Budwieser
Future Weekly Activities:
Continuing to find ways to improve trash collection
Working with other departments to assist in any way we can, equipment, manpower etc…
Follow up Activities:
Working with Scruggs Equipment Company for all parts and information needed to get unit#27 back in top operational condition
Following up with ADEQ on waste audit for recycling
Staff Concerns:
Continuing to build moral
