Fwd: Delta Bridge Project Update

 Delta Bridge Project

Creating and harnessing community spirit, reducing racial disparity,

and unifying community organizations and citizens so that together we create,

promote, and support development efforts that result in the greatest possible benefit for all citizens.

Delta Bridge Update

With the 2005 Strategic Community Plan nearly 80 percent complete, community members are needed to help shape the vision and solidify next steps for the Phase II plan.  The first round of strategic planning led to over $70 million in investments in Phillips County.  With contributions from concerned community citizens, the second round of strategic planning hopes to yield even greater outcomes, capable of improving the social and economic fabric of our community.

Here's how you can get involved

The Strategic Community Plan has six (6) areas of focus:

1.   Economic Development

2.   Education

3.   Health Care

4.   Housing

5.   Leadership Development

6.   Tourism, Recreation, Quality of Life

Each one of these areas has a Goal Team.  These Teams develop strategic goals and action steps for potential inclusion in the Community Strategic Plan, which makes it eligible for funding.
