STREET DEPARTMENT REPORT – 3/9/09

Specific Weekly Activities:

 

Mechanic:

2/27

  • Replaced pin in lift arm of Sanitation unit 25
  • Changed oil and air filter in Administration Yukon
  • Started working on Green Code Enforcement Impala

3/2

  • Blew out fuel line on Police unit 19
  • Working on listed problems for Code Enforcement green Impala

3/3

  • Assisted in cleaning lot on Park St
  • Replaced pin in arm on Sanitation unit 25 (need bushings)
  • Replaced hydraulic line on Street unit 107
  • Replaced headlight on Police unit 16

  • Took Sanitation unit 25 to Machine Shop
  • Removed turn motor from Street unit 107 (shipped to Peterson Ind. For repair)
  • Replaced hydraulic line on backhoe
  • Dumped blue and white dump truck at landfill

  • Assisted in cleaning alley behind Allen Temple Church
  • Took Kubota tractor to Wynne for repair
  • Throttle sensor delivered for Sanitation unit 27
  • Took Sanitation unit 29 to Machine Shop to repair bent rear door

  • Working on Code Enforcement Impala (ordered window track from Pat Kelley Auto)
  • Working on throttle sensor on Sanitation unit 27

 

Potholes:

  • 100 block North 1st St West-4
  • 80 block of Plaza St-1
  • North 7th and Garland-2
  • 400 block Valley Dr-2
  • 200 block Joe Brady-2
  • Don St-1
  • 300 block Elm St-1

 

Animal control:

  • Removed numerous dead animals from streets
  • Picked up two dead animals from vet

 

Other activities:

Continuous removal of debris throughout city designated trash routes

Litter pick up at primary routes of City:

            Porter St.

            Perry St.

            Elm St.

Replaced street signs at Russell & Devilla, Jane St & Old Little Rock Rd, York & Columbia

Straightened street signs at Wendland and Perry Ext.

Contacted River City Hydraulics on status of Street unit 105 (ready)

Worked at Gene Bearden Park clearing drains
