SANITATION DEPARTMENT

PROGRESS REPORT

Weekly Activities:

Monday 7-6-09

Begin the regular trash route at 4:00am, ran the Lakeview route

Serviced the trucks and equipment and washed trucks as well

Picked up and delivered carts

Assisted the East Side Water Department with the dozer clearing a wooded area looking for a water leak

Picked up boxes from Wendy's, Sonic, Food Pantry and Bistro


 

Tuesday 7-7-09

Begin the regular route at 4:00am

Repaired the arm on unit #25

Repaired power steering leak on unit #29

Picked up and delivered carts

Picked up boxes from Watson's Flowers, West Side, Corner Market and Kwik Stop


 

Wednesday 7-8-09

Begin the regular trash route at 4:00am

Took unit# 25 to Mayville and Sons to repair control valve

The service technician from Scott Equipment finished the repair on the track hoe

Picked up boxes from Sonic, Pizza Hut, Cato, OP Nails, It's Fashion, Shoe Show, Wendy's, Reverend Foxx's and Budweiser

Picked u p and delivered carts


 

Thursday 7-9-09

Begin the regular trash route at 4:00am

Repaired the coolant reservoir on unit #26

Assisted the East Side Water Department with the dozer trying to find the leak on Hank's Lane

Picked up boxes from Wendy's, Corner Market, Juengel's Interior, Sonic and Food Pantry


 

Friday 7-10-09

Begin the regular trash route at 4:00am

Repaired the auto arm closure pin on unit #25

Picked up and delivered carts

Picked up boxes from Kidney Care, Counseling Services and Wendy's


 

Follow Up Activities:

Continuing to work with Kinchen Truck Sales to get the engine replaced in unit # 27

Working with Jamie Mc Coy to get a demonstrator of the Mack refuse truck

Assisting other Departments when needed


 

Staff Concerns:

One employee has been out due to a minor shoulder injury, he has been released by the Doctor and scheduled to return to work on Monday

Two employees have been suspended for 10 days each, due a physical altercation on the job. This type of behavior is not acceptable and will not be tolerated, any further action of this nature will result in direct termination.
