SANITATION DEPARTMENT

PROGRESS REPORT

Weekly Activities:

Monday 7-13-09

Begin the regular trash at 4:00am, ran the Lakeview route

Serviced the trucks and equipment

Picked up and delivered carts, 11 carts were put back in service

Picked up boxes from Sonic, Family Dollar, Watson Flower Shop, The Clover and Corner Market

Completed the demolition clean up on Franklin


 

Tuesday 7-14-09

Begin the regular trash route at 4:00am

Picked up and delivered carts

Put 15 carts back in service

Took unit #26 to Mayville and Son to repair power steering pump

Replaced batteries on Ford diesel tractor and assisted East Side Water Department with dozer completing the project in Straub Lane

Picked up boxes from Hoffinger, Sonic, Kidney Care, Pit Stop, Corner Market and Cunningham

Removed cylinder from back hoe for repair at Scott Equipment

Begin the demolition clean up on Don and Moore Streets on the East Side


 

Wednesday 7-15-09

Begin the regular trash route at 4:00 am

Repaired the hydraulic tank hose fitting on the Auto Car diesel tractor

Continued the clean up on Don and Moore Streets

Picked up and delivered carts

Put 20 carts back in service

Picked up boxes from Shoe Show, Cato, Beauty Mania, Roberson Furniture, Corner Market, Hoffinger, Family Dollar, Kipp Delta School and Myrna's


 

Thursday 7-16-09

Begin the regular trash route at 4:00am

Continued the clean up on Don and Moore Streets

Put 15 carts back in service

Picked up and delivered carts

Continued clean up on Don and Moore

Picked up boxes from Sears, Corner Market, Sonic, Food Pantry and Cunningham


 

Friday 7-17-09

Begin the regular trash route at 4:00am

Delivered and picked up carts

Completed clean up on Don and Moore Streets

Started demolition clean up on Cherry Street

Picked up boxes from Watson Flower Shop, Food Pantry, Sonic, Dr. Henderson's , Kidney Care and Juengel


 


 

FOLLOW UP ACTIVITIES:

Working with River City Hydraulic for the purchase of new Refuse Truck


 

Staff Concerns:

One new CDL operator was brought on staff

An incident involving one of our tractor trailers occurred and the Land fill and it turned over on its side in loose soil due a faulty fifth wheel. There was minimal damage to the truck and no injuries
