CRIMES AGAINST PROPERTY

Investigators are currently investigating the charges of Commercial Burglary and Theft of Property at Sears. Currently following leads on the property and suspects.

Investigators are currently investigating the charges of Commercial Burglary and Theft of Property in the 1100 blk of Poplar. Property was recovered.

Investigators are currently investigating the charges of Theft by Receiving in the

100 blk of Marquette. Warrants are pending.

Investigators are currently investigating two charges of Arson on a vehicle and building.

Investigators are currently investigating the charges of Residential Burglary and Theft of Property 300 blk of E Garland.

Investigators have served warrants on the following individuals:

DeMarcus Brown – Aggravated Assault

John Chism – Possession of Controlled Substance x2 (Marijuana, Prescription)

Joseph Johnson – Possession w/Intent, Possession of Controlled Substance (Marijuana), Possession Instrument of Crime, Enhancement

Mario Owens – Possession of Controlled Substance (Cocaine), Resisting Arrest

CURRENT ACTIVITIES:

Working open cases

Investigators are following up on Tyronza Smith case and expecting results from the ASCL on evidence submitted in the case. Warrants have been served in this case.

Investigators are following up on the case of Quanteria Smith and expecting results from the ASCL on evidence submitted in the case. The suspect has been moved from the county jail to another detention facility.

Investigators are following up on the HNB Robbery case. We are currently following several leads regarding this case and have had contact with the FBI concerning this case.

Investigators are assisting with traffic control during school hours in the areas of Miller Jr High and Westside Elementary.

Investigators gave a presentation at Faith Outreach Church for the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Group concerning narcotics.
