Subject: Media:366 INCLEMENT WEATHER HANDBOOK SECTION 6.5 -- CITY REMAINING OPEN
To: <cityinformation@googlegroups.com>

BELOW IS THE CURRENT WEATHER FORECAST FOR OUR CITY. MINUTE BY MINUTE DETAILS ARE AVAILABLE ONLINE. THE CITY OF HELENA-WEST HELENA IS OPEN AND WILL REMAIN SO UNTIL AND UNLESS THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN THE PRECIPITATION.

EMPLOYEES, HOWEVER, ARE FREE EXERCISE THEIR RIGHTS UNDER OUR INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY AND TAKE TIME OFF AS A VACATION DAY.

SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT YOUR DEPARTMENT HEAD.

THIS DECISION IS SUBJECT TO RECONSIDERATION. I AM MINDFUL THAT COUNTY GOVERNMENT IS CLOSING AT 11:00 A.M. AND THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE HAS BEEN CLOSED ALL DAY. I AM ALSO AWARE THAT AREA SCHOOLS AND DAYCARE CENTERS ARE CLOSING AS WELL. SOME ARE CLOSING AT 11:00 A.M. WHILE OTHERS ARE WAITING UNTIL 1:30 P.M.

PLEASE EXERCISE DUE CARE UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES. THE FORECAST CALLS FOR THE TEMPERATURE TO BEGIN DROPPING AROUND 5:00 P.M. WHICH WILL CAUSE THE RAIN TO FREEZE AND BECOME BLACK ICE.
