Weekly Activities:

Monday 3-29-10

Began the regular Lakeview trash route at 4:00am

Replaced the door striker and fuse for the hydraulic pump on unit 29

Removed front cylinder from unit 28 and installed it on unit 30

Assisted Street Department sighting grade elevations on Jordan Street for ditch repairs

Picked up boxes from Sonic, Wendy's, Food Pantry, Central and Beech Crest

Total tonnage taken to Landfill 25.74


 

Tuesday 3-30-10

Began the regular trash route at 4:00am

Replaced hydraulic hose on unit 21

Replaced front right tire on unit 27

Assisted Street Department with Mini track on ST. Clair with street repairs

Picked up boxes from Sonic, Wendy's, Juengel Interiors, Pit Stop, Conoco Helena Crossing, Southern Furniture, Dixie Furniture and Watson Flowers

Continued to process boxes

Total tonnage taken to Landfill 33.12


 

Wednesday 3-31-10

Began the regular trash route at 4:00am

Replaced the alternator on unit 26

Picked up boxes from Sonic, Wendy's, Roberson Furniture, Conoco Helena Crossing, Central High, Beech Crest, Factory Connection, JF Wahl, Food Pantry, Sudden Link and Stage

Delivered 4 yard dumpster to 64 Lincoln Court

Total tonnage taken to Landfill 30.40


 

Thursday 4-1-10

Began the regular trash route at 4:00am

Repaired the drive shaft on the blue and white dump truck it was taken to Smith's Welding

Picked up boxes from Sonic, Wendy's, Factory Connection, West Helena Furniture, Central High, Beech Crest, JF Wahl, Food Pantry and Watson Flowers

Continued to process boxes collected for the week

Total tonnage taken to Landfill


 

Friday 4-2-10

Closed for Good Friday, ran skeleton crew only for trash collection


 


 

FOLLOW UP ACTIVITIES:

Writing estimates for Code Enforcement

Completing the Washington Street drainage project

Problem has been diagnosed on unit 25 the repairs will cost around $5,000.00


 

FUTURE ACTIVITIES:

Selling the processed paper to the highest bidder

Finalizing the electronic waste collection

Razing dilapidated structures

Working on plastic recycling

Making final plans on the Sims ditch project


 

STAFF CONCERNS:

One employee has been due to terminal sickness in his family
