Weekly Activities:

Monday 5-3-10

Began the regular Lakeview trash route at 4:00am

Washed and serviced the vehicles units 21, 24, 26, 27, 29 and 30

No carts were picked up or delivered

Continued the excavation on the corner of Cleburne and 1st for Church of The Living God

Replaced the power steering pump and hose on unit 29

Picked up boxes from Sonic, Wendy's, Beech Crest, Central High, Conoco Helena Crossing, Corner Market, Watson Flowers, Kidney Care, Roberson Furniture and Dixie Furniture

Total tonnage taken to Landfill 4-30-10 33.78

Total tonnage taken to Landfill 30.86


 

Tuesday 5-4-10

Began the regular trash route at 4:00am

Continued the excavation on Cleburne and 1st

Delivered carts to 307 Cherry, 332 Jerry, 1038 Park Hill, 1311 Poplar and 121 Sacred Heart

Picked up carts from 132 S. 8th, 208 N. Sam and 620 Cleburne

Picked up boxes from Wendy's, Central High, Corner Market, Family Dollar, Conoco Helena Crossing, Rent a Center, Beauty Mania Shoe Show and Cato

Total tonnage taken to Landfill 49.00


 

Wednesday 5-5-10

Began the regular trash route at 4:00am

Assisted the Street Department with the back hoe and the track hoe on the Valley Drive ditch project, we also used the white dually and trailer to haul off the scrap metal

Delivered a cart to 1245 Perry

Picked up boxes from Sonic, 127 S. 9th, Wendy's, Watson Flowers, Central High, Pit Stop, Corner Market, Conoco Helena Crossing, Beech Crest, JF Wahl, Kidney Care, Factory Connection and Family Dollar

Total tonnage taken to Landfill 35.28


 

Thursday 5-6-10

Began the regular trash route at 4:00am

Assisted the Street Department with the blue and white dump truck hauling dirt to the alley on 4th and Baldwin

Continued to assist the Street Department with the track hoe and back hoe on the Valley Drive project

Delivered carts to 812 Walker, 102 S. Summit, 238 Richmond Hill and 834 Fairwood Cove

Picked up a cart at 203 Pecan

Picked up boxes from Sonic, Wendy's, Central High, JF Wahl, Corner Market, Beech Crest, Food Pantry, Conoco Helena Crossing, Kidney Care and West Helena Flowers

Total tonnage taken to Landfill 21.87

Began the regular trash route at 4:00am

Continuing to assist the Street Department on Valley Drive

Picked up the cylinder for unit 28 at Century Hydraulics in West Memphis and an air valve from Scruggs in Memphis

Picked up boxes from Sonic, Wendy's, Beech Crest, Central High, JF Wahl, Food Pantry, Conoco Helena Crossing, Corner Market, Watson Flowers, Kidney Care, Juengel Interiors, The Clover, Delta Gypsy and Payless

Delivered a cart to 900 Franklin

Total tonnage not complete a report time


 


 

FOLLOW UP ACTIVITIES:

Writing estimates for Code Enforcement

Completing the Washington Street drainage project

Completing both dirt work projects on Arkansas Street

Selling the processed paper to the highest bidder

Century Hydraulics has finished the cylinder for unit 28 and it should be back in service next week

Unit 25 not finished as of yet

Completing the Valley Drive ditch project

The Sims fence project has been completed


 

FUTURE ACTIVITIES:

Razing dilapidated structures

Working with ADEQ on plastics recycling

Working on the Sims ditch project final plans
